In this assignment I took pictures of food. I hoped that by tasking these pictures I could make a person be as hungry as possible.

For editing I made some slight changes to the appearance of the fruit by getting rid of some unsightly marks.








This week I learned about touching up pictures. That is something I haven't done much since the car retouch assignment and i was relatively proud of myself for thinking that I should do that.

Visual Puns

In this assignment I took some pictures from the Internet and crafted some visual puns to try and stump any viewers they wernt incredibly clever designs though.

In this assignment I learned it is very hard to make a pun that is clever but also makes sense. I discarded on that I made because there wasn't much of a pun to it there wasn't any thing hidden but none of mine ended up very professional.

Product/Still Life

In this assignment I set up shot that would yield some good pictures. the subjects of these pictures were set up in a way as to seem appealing almost like they were in a magazine advertisement.

Editing: I flipped the whole picture around so that the brand name on the head of the guitar would be right side up. I also reduced the visibility of a large smudge on the bottom of the body and then finally I blacked out all of the carpet on the ground under the sheet music.







In this assignment I learned more about the clone tool. I haven't used it in a while but I remembered how to use it pretty well and i was able to make an unsightly smudge virtually disappear. Other than that this assignment was kind of ordinary.

Picture Dictionary

In this assignment we were told to pit to get 4-5 visual dictionary pages using the definition and visuals to help convey the meaning of the chosen word. we were told to use images from a certain website, and some pictures that we actual took were supposed to be put into the dictionary page.

I learned a lot about editing this week, one thing in particular was messing around with colors and font it was very annoying sometimes and I had to restart typing the definition because I messed up and I didn't know what I did but I eventually figured it out. I had been using the wrong tool to try to change the font.

Black and White

In this assignment our class was instructed to take pictures that would look good in black and white this could be done when in dull light when the colors in normal light wouldn't be very extenuated. then they would still look as good as if the lighting was better.

In this I learned how to change the levels of photos that were in black and white on Photoshop's editing tools instead of gimp's. Some of photo shops features I found easier to use than gimps but they are clumsier and don't give you as many options.

Portrait Demo

In this assignment we took photos of people using the studio and areas of a lot of light and bounce cards to light up the subject. Then put the photos onto gimp and make a frame for each and put them into one image.

Nature and Landscape

For this assignment I had to take pictures of the nature and landscape around my house and school. mostly i took pictures of the floweres coming out this time in spring.

For this project I learned an alternative way to get pictures uploaded to the server through my phone I took 10 out of 11 pictures in this album with the my cell. It was really difficult to get my pictures uploaded. I also realized how much color there is in the spring, besides just green.

Gimp 4

In this assignment we were instructed to take a picture of the school and then add in various images using gimp to make the photo to show something unexpected

In this assignment I got a better understanding of layers and how to add different pictures into gimp, which is something I have never done before. I also learned how to make shadows appear on the image by coping the original image then flipping it and using the color tools desaturize and levels. I had fun adding in the sand it worked out almost perfectly and I only really had to do some erasing with other layers to make it look like it was actual in the sand.

I learned about how to pan correctly and fluidly. It was kind of shaky at first but I got it down. I also found it hard to line up the shot and take the picture when the subject was at the center of the background. But that was made to look better with some cropping.

Architecture

For this assignment I took pictures at my school that displayed its modern architecture. I didn't do much editing just some cropping mostly. and removing a few small "blemishes".

I realized that my school has a lot of creative architecture that I didn't really know about. I don't think may people really notice some of the intricacies of the school. I also realized some extra importance of perspective.

Gimp 3 Panoramic

In this assignment we had to take 3 pictures and put them together by taking pictures of adjacent media so that we could piece them together side by side. this was completed using Gimp.

In This assignment I learned how to put 3 pictures together. The right and middle pictures fit together almost perfectly together. but the left and middle pictures were a little off and i had to do a bit of editing to make them look flush for a lot the eraser tool worked but for some parts i had to use the clone tool. In addition to getting practice with some tools, I also got my first tastes of different layers and it was a little annoying

This week I captured pictures of things that were moving and made them look moving or not.

This week I learned a lot more about shutter speeds and Aperture settings and how to modify them to get a good picture. This week I took a lot of pictures that turned out way to dark to use and a few that were very bright.

Gimp Car

In this assignment we were told to edit a picture of a car to look just like a sample edit using gimp. and then turn it in and upload it to blogger.

Before

In this assignment I learned about using many parts of gimp including the navigation screen free selection and how to use many other aspects of picture modification. I did at one point save my edited picture wrong and had to re-do a part of the project but I know what I did wrong and wont do it again.

People

This week I took pictures of people I attempted to take a lot of pictures and find the ones that show some element of personality.

I learned that I need to take more pictures because when it came time to pick out the pictures I need I was hard pressed to find enough pictures I thought were good.

Pop Art gimp assignment 1

In this assignment we took a picture of ourselves and then  we edited them using gimp. Using this editing tool we created an Andy Warhol like pop art effect.

In this assignment I learned somethings about gimp for instance it can be very confusing in how to select things. But I was also able to make my self look like pretty scary. And with the help of the instructions i was able to learn how to use the program.

Our assignment was to take pictures that displayed 11 elements of composition. Each picture was focused on one element of composition.
